IMC and Night Rating training and testing is also available from Rainair.  All training is carried out on the club's own aircraft which are maintained to exacting standards by a resident engineer.  The aircraft types available are Cessna 150 & 172.  The night rating is a five hour course and the IMC rating is 15 hours.

There is a one off airfield pass fee to pay which will then cover you for all landing fees for one year, this is £200.00 and  there are no other club joining fees.  Alternatively you can pay for landings at £10 each.

The standard hourly rate for the Cessna 150 aircraft hire with instructor is £130.00, and for the Cessna 172 it is £145.00, this is fully inclusive with no hidden extras.  As we have sole use of the airfield you get maximum value for money as no time is wasted holding or taxiing unnecessarily.  If you would like to pay for the entire course up front the fee for the IMC rating is £1800.00 and for the night rating it's £600.00
