FLYING TRAINING

PRIVATE PILOTS LICENCE (PPL) TRAINING

All training is in our own aircraft which are maintained to exacting standards by a resident engineer.  The aircraft types available are Cessna 150 & 172 which have two and four seats respectively.  All your training can be in the two seat aircraft and when you have your licence a short conversion will upgrade you to the four seater.  Then you can take family and friends for flights. As we have sole use of the airfield you get maximum value for money as no time is wasted holding or taxiing unnecessarily.

You can pay for your flight training either on an hourly basis or pay in advance for the full course. In both cases a full pre and post flight briefings will be given. You train at your own speed, it's up to you. An Aerodrome Subscription pays for all your landings for a year.

A ground school is available and you will need certain books and equipment (PPL equipment kit) which can be purchased from us.

CAA examinations can be taken here at Beccles.

NATIONAL PRIVATE PILOTS LICENCE (NPPL) TRAINING

For recreational pilots who only wish to fly single engine piston aircraft in Visual Flight Rules conditions the NPPL licence is a cheaper alternative than the PPL as only a minimum of 32 hours flying training is required. Also the medical examination is less stringent.

IMC AND NIGHT RATING TRAINING

Instrument Meteorological Conditions and Night Rating training is available at the same hourly rate as PPL training or payment in advance for the whole course.

CO-PILOTS COURSE

This allows a non qualified Pilot to safely land an aircraft in the event that their flying partner has become unwell and unable to fly the aircraft.
